These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) set out the rules that apply to your use of the website https://4seasonmovingserviceinc.com (the “Site”) and the moving and related services (the “Services”) offered by 4 Season Moving Service (“we”, “us”, or “our”). Accessing or using the Site or our Services in any capacity means you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms in full.
1. Use of the Site
To use the Site and Services, you must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into enforceable agreements.
You agree to submit accurate, truthful, and up-to-date information whenever you request a quote, place a booking, or complete any form on the Site. You are solely responsible for keeping any account credentials confidential and for all actions taken under your name or contact details.
We retain the right to decline service, restrict Site access, or cancel an existing booking at our discretion if we have reason to believe these Terms have been violated or the Site or Services are being misused in any way.
2. Quotes, Estimates, and Bookings
All quotes and estimates issued by 4 Season Moving Service are prepared using the information you provide, which may include inventory details, property access conditions, travel distances, and any special handling requirements.
Estimates are not final and may be revised if the actual circumstances of the move differ materially from the information originally provided. The amount charged will reflect the actual work completed.
Completing a booking may require a deposit or payment authorization. The applicable payment terms, cancellation conditions, and other specifics will be detailed in your booking confirmation or a separate written agreement. It is your responsibility to review all information in your estimate and confirmation and to inform us of any discrepancies or required changes without delay.
3. Customer Responsibilities
As a customer, you agree to:
- Have your belongings properly prepared and ready for transport on the scheduled date, unless packing services have been specifically included in your booking.
- Arrange safe, clear access to both the pickup and delivery locations, including elevators, stairwells, parking areas, and any necessary building permits or approvals.
- Inform us in advance about any items that are fragile, high-value, oversized, or require special handling procedures.
- Adhere to all applicable laws, local regulations, and building policies that relate to your move.
- Confirm that you are the legal owner of the items being moved, or that you hold full and valid authority from the owner to authorize their transportation.
4. Exclusions and Prohibited Items
We reserve the right to decline transportation of certain categories of items, including but not limited to:
- Hazardous, flammable, explosive, or chemically reactive materials
- Illegal items or substances prohibited under applicable law
- Perishable goods, live animals, or plants, unless expressly agreed in writing prior to the move
If prohibited items are loaded onto the truck without our prior knowledge or consent, you will bear full responsibility for any damages, regulatory fines, or penalties that result.
5. Payment Terms
Payment obligations are as specified in your estimate or booking confirmation. Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, a deposit is generally required prior to the move date, with the remaining balance due once services have been completed.
Additional charges may apply for services or conditions not covered in the original estimate, including but not limited to extra labor, additional stops, extended wait times, long-carry situations, stair carries, or material changes to the agreed inventory.
Overdue payments may incur late fees. To the extent permitted under applicable law, we may withhold release of your goods until outstanding amounts have been paid in full.
6. Cancellations and Rescheduling
All cancellations and rescheduling requests are subject to the notice requirements and applicable fees outlined in your estimate, confirmation, or our cancellation policy in effect at the time of booking.
Requests made with insufficient notice may result in partial or full forfeiture of any deposit paid, as well as additional charges to cover costs already incurred on our end.
In situations beyond our reasonable control — such as extreme weather, hazardous road conditions, or equipment failure — we may find it necessary to cancel or reschedule your move. We will notify you as promptly as possible and work with you to arrange a suitable alternative date.
7. Liability for Loss or Damage
Our liability for any loss of or damage to your belongings is limited in accordance with applicable law and the specific valuation terms set out in your estimate or bill of lading.
You are required to inspect all items upon delivery and record any visible damage on the delivery paperwork at that time. Claims for damage that was not apparent at delivery must be submitted to us in writing within the timeframe stated in your move documentation.
The extent of our liability depends on the valuation coverage option selected at the time of booking. Enhanced protection is available for an additional fee. We are not responsible for damage resulting from events outside our control, including natural disasters, severe weather conditions, or defects or pre-existing damage in the items themselves.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under applicable law:
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, business opportunities, or data, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such losses.
- Our total cumulative liability under these Terms or in connection with any specific Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to 4 Season Moving Service for the move or service from which the claim originates.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under applicable law.
